Beyond The Bubbles: Eight Tea’s Journey with Bank Usahawan

Eight Tea, owned by local entrepreneur Haji Ismadey, has flourished since it opened in 2018. What began as a small, converted satay stall has grown into a popular chain of bubble tea kiosks with 8 branches across Bandar Seri Begawan. This transformation was fueled by Haji Ismadey’s passion for business and the crucial support from Bank Usahawan’s small-category financing.

With a vision to expand, Haji Ismadey opened a second branch in Batu Bersurat, and soon after, he sought financial support from Bank Usahawan for his third branch. Through financing from Bank Usahawan, he secured funding that allowed him to increase his stock, purchase essential equipment, and fully prepare the new location. This support helped him expand his inventory, improve his offerings, and attract more customers, driving Eight Tea’s impressive growth.

Alhamdulillah, the response from the community has been incredibly positive,” Haji Ismadey shares. “I’m deeply grateful to Bank Usahawan for their assistance in helping Eight Tea grow to what it is today.”

Eight Tea’s journey exemplifies how Bank Usahawan’s small-category financing empowers local businesses to reach new heights, sustaining growth and contributing to Brunei’s vibrant entrepreneurial landscape.
