From Recipe to Reality: Ilhamsjaya’s Journey with Bank Usahawan

What began as a small home-based operation in 2001 has grown into a proud local business known for its irresistibly crispy prawn crackers — this is the story of IlhamsJaya Enterprise.

Run by a husband-and-wife duo in Kampong Ayer Setia ‘A’, Ilhams Jaya started with a family recipe crafted by Dayang Supadmi, the heart behind the flavor. With her husband and a few helping hands, they turned that homemade snack into a sought-after product loved by many.

As demand grew, so did their ambitions — but like many small businesses, they needed a little push to get to the next level. That’s when their Ketua Kampong stepped in, introducing them to Bank Usahawan.

In 2019, Ilhams Jaya Enterprise secured micro financing from Bank Usahawan. The funding allowed them to invest in essential equipment, hire more staff, and expand their production capacity — taking their operations from modest to meaningful.

Today, they are one of Bank Usahawan’s returning clients, a testament to their growth and the impact of continued support. Dayang Supadmi and her husband shared how grateful they are for the bank officers who guided them from the very beginning.

“With the help from Bank Usahawan, we managed to grow our business and meet the increasing demand. We’re truly thankful and encourage others to take that step too.” – Dayang Supadmi

Ilhams Jaya Enterprise is more than just a snack business — it’s a story of determination, community support, and what’s possible when passion meets opportunity.
