Founded by a passionate team in 2021, Safabay began with a small corner at Higher Hotel, operating with limited space but big aspirations.

Now located next to Sketchers and GLXtra, Safabay has become known for its modern industrial interiors, street-art flair, and a bold brew bar that caters to both coffee lovers and work-focused creatives alike. Open daily, Safabay is more than just a café—it’s a hub for conversations, collaboration, and handcrafted beverages. From specialty coffee to locally roasted beans, from casual catch-ups to quiet work sessions, Safabay has carved a unique identity in Brunei’s café culture.

Brewing Bigger with Bank Usahawan

With increasing demand and a growing customer base, the Safabay team saw the potential to scale up—not just in size, but in experience. But growth needed resources, and in 2024, they turned to Bank Usahawan to help bring their vision to life.

The result? A major transformation.

Safabay expanded into a larger, custom-designed space featuring a dedicated roastery, a brewing bar, and more seating options tailored for both solo work and group gatherings. The financing also supported improvements in inventory, equipment, and operational flow.

With the expansion, Safabay now offers a wider retail selection—from guest beans and in-house roasted coffee to lifestyle merchandise and curated food options. Events, team meetings, and daily coffee rituals now happen in a space crafted for both comfort and creativity.

Today, Safabay stands as a proud example of what happens when vision meets support. With a loyal following, a strong team, and a bold brand identity, they continue to grow—fueling moments, connections, and caffeinated joy across Brunei.
