What began as a simple love for desserts and a dream to support her family has now transformed into a thriving online home-based bakery in Bebatik Kilanas—Sugarfix By Farah. Founded by Farah Sani in 2014 with just a small oven and a hand mixer, the business has since grown into a local favorite, known for its beautifully crafted customized cakes and desserts.

Operating every Tuesday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 8 AM to 2 PM, Sugarfix By Farah has become a go-to for sweet indulgences, offering crowd favorites like pavlovas, watermelon cakes, brownies, tarts, kek batik, tapak kuda, cupcakes, and celebration cakes for all occasions.

Alongside her sister Farhana, Farah has not only built a loyal customer base but also created job opportunities within her community—proving that passion and persistence can turn humble beginnings into a sweet success.

Rising to the Challenge with Bank Usahawan

When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, the demand for online food businesses surged—and Sugarfix was no exception. However, with limited space, manpower, and equipment, Farah and her team found themselves having to turn away orders they couldn’t fulfill.

Determined not to let these opportunities slip by, they made the decision in 2021 to seek financing support from Bank Usahawan to take their business to the next level.

A Turning Point for Growth

Thanks to the financial support from Bank Usahawan, Sugarfix By Farah was able to build a dedicated production kitchen and invest in the necessary equipment to meet the growing demand. This expansion enabled them to take on high-volume orders without compromising quality.

“We have tripled our profit within the first two years and have been growing ever since,” Farah shares. “The financing process was smooth and efficient, and the officers at Bank Usahawan were incredibly supportive throughout. They’ve truly helped fund my dreams.“
